Brands from Spain shine on the international stage during May
This May has been a clear demonstration of the strength of our brands at events in the children’s products sector, with a notable presence at two of the industry’s most important international trade fairs: Toys Milano (Italy) and Día Mágico by FIMI.
Toys Milano 2026: Innovation and child safety in Italy
On 10 and 11 May, Spanish talent took Milan by storm. The Italian city hosted a new edition of Toys Milano under the slogan ‘Full of Magic’, and the Spanish childcare sector left an indelible mark at Fiera Milano City.
Italy is no ordinary market for Spanish brands, as it is the third most important destination for Spanish childcare exports. Consequently, the commitment was strong: 22 Spanish brands took advantage of this strategic platform to consolidate relationships with distributors and specialist retailers.
Supported by ASEPRI and ICEX, Spanish companies demonstrated that innovation, design, sustainability and safety are the cornerstones of our industry. Among the participants, the following stood out:
- Micuna and Cotinfant, leaders in children’s furniture and co-sleeping cots with eco-friendly designs and sustainable wood
- Happymami, revolutionising breastfeeding with its first custom-designed baby bottle.
- Cool Bottles, championing sustainable alternatives to plastic with its thermal bottles.
- Nines D’Onil, with its beautiful handcrafted dolls.
- My Baby, ensuring safe sleep with health-certified mattresses.
- Pasito a Pasito / Walking Mum, setting trends with urban-style maternity bags.
The domestic offering was complemented by outstanding collections from brands such as Cerdá, Jané, Kiokids, Miniland and Tutete, amongst others, reinforcing Spain’s leading position on the international childcare scene.

Día Mágico by FIMI 2026: Consolidating Spanish ocassion wear in the global market
A few days later, on 15 and 16 May, Valencia once again became the epicentre of children’s communion and ocassion wear. At ASEPRI, in coordination with Feria Valencia and with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and IVACE+i, we organised an invitation programme for international buyers that exceeded all expectations.
This edition marked a significant leap forward, securing the attendance of 29 VIP international clients, representing a 16% increase on the previous edition. Spanish ocassion wear brands generated valuable business opportunities with highly specialised buyers from key countries such as Italy, Portugal, Malta, Ireland, the United States, the United Kingdom and Mexico.
The event brought together 50 leading exhibitors, highlighting the enormous potential of the Valencian sector, which accounted for 29.2% of the total. As our director, Eva Segura, rightly points out: “Supporting internationalisation remains a priority for us. The formalwear sector is moving towards greater international openness, where the ability to adapt and specialise will be key to competing.”
Brands associated with ASEPRI such as Caminito Shoes, María Catalán, Siena, Amarca Kids, Javilar Kids and Varones were present at the event, demonstrating why ‘Made in Spain’ formal wear is an undisputed global benchmark.

Magic on the catwalk: the ‘Paseo Mágico’ fashion show
If there was one moment that captured everyone’s attention and truly embodied the essence of the fair, it was undoubtedly the eagerly awaited Paseo Mágico fashion show.
This event, which enjoyed the strong backing of ICEX Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade, became the true heart of the fair. The catwalk filled the venue with magic and trends, featuring 12 leading brands from the sector.
The turnout was resounding: hundreds of attendees gathered to get a first look at collections of immense value in terms of design and creativity.
The participating brands were: Alhuka Ceremonias, Amarca Kids, Anavig Comunión, Barcarola, Chus Rodríguez, Eva Martínez, Javilar Kids, Lilus, Mon Air, Montserrat Lozano, Niseret and Querida Philippa.

Next steps on our international journey
